This is a blog about tools. Tools that we use. Tools that we care for. Tools that do an exceptional job, and tools that are fun. We include tools that help us work better and navigate smoothly through our increasingly complex lives.

We will review the tools we like, tools we have handled or friends have recommended. The potential commission really won’t effect our judgment. I mean it. If I had wanted to sell out I would have sold out long ago. Architects specify millions of dollars of materials every year and there are some real temptations that come with specifying – like marble from Italy – friends of mine have had a free trip to Italy to choose marble from the quarry. I chose marble from Vermont. No trips. No visits to the quarry. Just good marble.
You will find out that I grew up in the ’60s, that I’m an architect, builder, industrial designer and maker of all kinds of stuff. I use tools a lot.
